"SUNRISE, SUNSET"
As I said that Landscape Photography is my favorite subject to shoot, I'd have to include Sunrises and Sunsets as part of that genre. For me there's something magical about standing behind the lens watching the sun dance behind a cloud vibrating its hues across the sky. It's that exquisite pirouette of ever changing light such as a dancer leaps and twirls across the floor to create for me a sense of wonderment and awe in the very marvel of creation.
One of my favorite artists who embodied this for me was John Denver and his very poignant song: "Sunshine on My Shoulders". I can't tell you how many times I've listened to this song as I've stood on the beaches at Ocracoke Island, or crossed the plains of Kansas, and stood at the Snake River overlook watching the sun splash its last bit of light behind the mountains. It still brings tears to my eyes to this day. If you've never watched one of God's true works of art, you are missing one of His greatest creations.
