" HIGH DYNAMIC RANGE IMAGERY"
The images set forth in this album are called High Dynamic Range. To produce a High Dynamic Range image I use a photographic technique of exposing the scene in multiple exposures; or more commonly known as "bracketing", typically one, two, stops over exposed and then one, two, stops underexposed and one at normal exposure. The images are then “processed” in an after market software or Photoshop to create an image of dynamic range of luminances between the lightest and darkest areas of the image. During the "processing" of the image, there are a variety of tonal mapping techniques I can use to create the particular gamma and tonal qualities of the image.
